Our artists have varying availability! You can submit a same day request here and an artist will reach out to you directly if they are available. Some, or most, may be booked out for 1 to 2+ months so it is recommended to reach out directly to the artist you’d like to schedule with in advance. Artists will post last minute availability to their stories. If you are unable to submit an appointment request with an artist, it may be because their books are closed! Follow them to find out when they open again.

Every second Saturday of the month, we host a walk in flash and custom day! Otherwise, you’ll need to fill out our request form or give us a call to book a same day appointment. We host occasional flash days through out the year as well where you can walk in and choose a flash tattoo (no customs). Follow our instagram or join our mailing list to get updates on our flash days!

Flash tattoos are original drawings designed by a tattooer without a request from a client. Flash is generally available to be viewed on each artist’s instagram highlights or website. Choosing a flash design is a great way to increase your chances of getting an appointment as most tattooers automatically accept flash requests when their books are open. Some tattooers use their flash designs only once, while others use flash designs multiple times. If an artist does single use flash, submitting multiple options might increase your likelihood of getting an appointment!
If you don’t see a flash design that speaks to you but you love the artist’s work, then a custom design is for you! Not all artists accept customs, and the ones that do generally accept a very limited number of requests per month. Your best chance of getting a custom request is to summit a request form to our shop so all of our artists can look at it!
-
Each artist has their own deposit price(s) to reserve your appointment. This ensure that the artist has an income they can rely on. The deposits are non-refundable and each artist holds their own policy on if they are transferable due to rescheduling generally requiring a roughly 48-72 hour notice. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, reach out to the artist you booked with.
-
Since all of our artists tattoo their own original art, you should choose the artist’s work you like the best! Try to think about what your tattoo idea will look like in each artists’ style. Take a look through their Instagrams to see what their work looks like.
You may also fill out the booking request form on our website here and we propose the inquiry to all of our artists for them to choose who is most interested & available to work on the project.
The artists at No Good generally do not tattoo direct copies of other artists work, so please keep this in mind while booking

Hand poke is the practice of manually poking dots with a tattoo needle into the skin to create an image. Machine tattooing is where a machine moves the needle up and down with a motor or battery to create an image.
Hand poke typically takes longer than a machine tattoo but that can vary from artist to artist. Hand poke can also be less traumatic to the skin surface than machine tattooing. This varies depending on placement, design and artist.

As of August 1, 2023, No Good Tattoo is now a mask-optional space depending on the preference of both the tattooers and clients present.
You’ll still be seeing a lot of our artists wearing masks, especially when tattooing.
Some of our tattooers will still be requiring that their clients wear masks and will have their preferences available in their booking info.
We will also accommodate any client who is still taking masking precautions.
Any client has the right to request that your artist or the entire shop mask up for your appointment, no questions asked! To request this option, please let your artist know when you book your appointment.
Because of this policy, you might be asked to mask during your appointment even if your artist isn’t requiring it. Please be aware of this!
As always, do not come in if you are feeling unwell (coughing, fever, etc.) & contact your artist as soon as possible regarding your appointment.
We will still have masks available for anyone who wants them when they arrive. <3

No! We host residents and guests of all gender identities and tattooing styles.
-
Absolutely! We are ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible. Please let your artist know if you need any extra accommodations to make your tattoo accessible and comfortable :)
-
All of our resident artists offer touch ups to their own tattoos. Each artist has their own policies about touch ups and cover ups for tattoos from other artists.
-
We encourage you to arrive alone so you and your artist have the best session possible. Friends can make it more difficult to tattoo due to talking, moving your head, etc. If you need to bring a friend for accessibility or other reasons, however, we trust that you will make the decision that is best for you!
-
We are not accepting apprenticeships at this time. We encourage you to utilize resources like YouTube, Instagrams like @sanitation_station_ and reach books like Tamara Santibañez “Could This Be Magice? Tattooing as Liberation Work” which is available as a free PDF.
And as always, one of the best ways to learn about tattooing is by getting tattooed! Your artist may be happy to answer any questions you may have during a session. Let them know you’ve got some!

Every body should be tattooed with skill and care!
Colors and Skin Tone:
When colors heal, their appearance can change based on your skin tone. Our artists who tattoo with color offer color swatches. Color swatches are permanent tattoos in the form of small colored dots where you can see how different colors heal on your body!
Body Types:
Different body types have different needs! We have larger tables available for large body types and can adjust our set up for different positions to make your tattoo more comfortable. Our space is also wheelchair accessible, we can easily set up a sterile work space with your wheelchair if needed.

Our artists each have their own pricing for their individual practices. They are all happy to offer quotes and discuss pricing structures ahead of time, as well as what is possible within a restricted budget if you have one.
To address economic inequalities faced by people who hold marginalized identities, many of our artists offer a few discounted appointments each month. Reach out to your artist directly for inquiries about their pricing practices and note, your artist may also hold a marginalized identity.

We practice person-first tattooing and emphasize consent as well as offer individualized comfort measures.
We aim to be as transparent as possible in what to expect during your tattoo and we highly encourage you to ask questions at any point. We will try to make you as comfortable as possible in the process your appointment and make sure your concerns are addressed, please voice them!
